Job Description

The open position is for a Test Automation engineer, with a minimum of 1 year of industry experience in test automation. The work will involve developing and maintaining test automation for file access protocols and file system technology, which is part of the Novell Open Enterprise Server product line.

Roles and responsibilities
* Develop and maintain the test automation harness for automated component testing in a Java/Ant and browser based environment.
* Develop automated tests and integrate to the harness, which will likely require programming knowledge in Java, C or some scripting language.
* Develop protocol stack conformance test suite
* Effectively communicate activities and findings to arrive at solutions
* Participate in estimation and planning of the automation deliverables

Required Skills

One or more years experience in test automation, with experience in Linux Web/database/application server-side browser-based application environment.

* Work experience on server side programming in Linux, Java, Junit, ANT

* Understanding of browser-based applications, Linux/Windows/MAC operating systems, servers, networking, clients, and browsers.

* Knowledge of at least one scripting language (Perl/Python/Ruby/Shell), XML, HTTP is desirable

* Knowledge or hands on experience in QTP or Sellenium is desirable

* Good troubleshooting and debugging skills, and positive attitude to find automation solutions in complex test environments
