Ridings Consulting Engineers, UK was established in December 1991 specifically to address the Consultancy requirements of the Indian market which at the time was preparing itself for liberalization and the opening of the private sector. Ridings developed cost-effective solutions for GIS, Engineering and other value-added projects.
The initial services were provided by RCE UK through DON GOODWIN & S. D. BAVEJA, and included advice for System Planning, Procurement, Establishment, Human Resources Development, Training, Site Preparation and Technical Guidance for job execution. The initial task for RCE was to plan, set up, design and develop a system in Delhi to undertake the above tasks, to provide Human Resources Development and establish a set up of trained staff working to international standards & quality, utilizing the state-of-the-art computer system. In order to meet the above aspirations RCE negotiated with and associated international consultants and companies, such as Kaizer Engineers, National Power, Bovis International, Allot & Lomax, Little Woods and many other reputed organizations around the world.
