About the Role:

The role is for the Product and Revenue Strategy for Star Bharat in Entertainment Ad Sales business of Disney Star. This is a critical role where the role incumbent is expected to be a key link between Content team and Sales teams and drive the brand philosophy and sales/revenue strategy for the channel to optimize channel inventory.

Context: The KRAs of the role will be achieved through effective forecasting, planning, pricing and property integrations based on a deep understanding of customer needs and patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic / Policy related KRAs

• Implementing the revenue strategy for the channel/cluster basis channel objectives, budget for the year, market scenario, competition, etc. in order to ensure the sales organization achieves overall revenue target

• Develop deeper insight and understanding of the dynamic market requirements through advertiser/client interaction, and facilitate 'why buy?', propose solutions more suited to client needs, hence resulting in better monetization of advertising opportunities

• Facilitate client and brand-wise spend monitoring on each channel in the cluster and on corresponding competitive channels, and evaluate competitive channel performance within and outside genre Operational / Process / Technology related KRAs

• Building an understanding of the industry and clients through industry reports, trends, articles, BARC data to know plans of our key clients and categories to pre-empt the sales team for proactive pitching.

• Analyze market trends, Media performance versus Brand parameters and other critical trends.

• Support creation of pitch and evaluation of the pitch of annual deals and mega deals

• Engage with sales teams for ensuring revenue rationalization by tracking the funnel/pipeline for a healthy business and designing attractive packages for them to take to the market.

• Providing frontline support through reporting and analytics - Equipping the sales team with data insights so they can handle queries from clients and media planners/buyers with confidence

• Evolve constantly on current methodologies & tools to incorporate new approaches to advertisers & sponsors.

• Work on comprehensive presentations for reviews as required

• BI & Other Qualitative/Quantitative Reports -Generating relevant reports proactively using BI, BARC and other tools to enable sales team with relevant data points

Financial Accountability / Commercial Impact

• Execute impact/ non FCT elements that convert to higher revenue generation

• Work with finance and PRS lead to develop annual budgets for respective channels as per company goals

• Support creation of annual deals & monthly deals, monitoring channel performance within & outside Genre, identify & highlight opportunities to CSP/ RH/CH

Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualification: MBA (Premier/ Tier 1 management institute)

• With at least 4-9 years of post-qualification experience, preferably from Business consulting/ strategy background Personal Attributes:

BEL Recruitment 2023 Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification:

Trainee Officer/Project Officer: MA (Hindi) or any PG with proficiency in Hindi i.e., studied Hindi as a medium in matriculation or studied Hindi is an elective subject at the Degree level.

Experience:

Trainee Officer I:

• Nil.
• Freshers can apply for the post.
• Trainee Officers will be engaged initially for a period of 02 years which may be extended up to a maximum of three years.

 

Project Officer I:

• 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience such as administrative work in Hindi, terminological work in Hindi, translation work from English to Hindi and vice versa, etc.
• Only relevant post-qualification experience will be considered.
• The decision of the selection committee, with respect to the relevance of experience will be final.
• Work experience indicated without supporting documents, will not be considered.
• Project Officers will be engaged initially for a period of 03 years which may be extended up to a maximum of Four years.

Age Limit ( As on 01 April 2023 ):

• Trainee Officer: 28 years
• Project Officer: 32 years

Age Relaxation:

• The upper age limit mentioned above is for General candidates.
• The upper age limit will be relaxable for PWD candidates for 10 years.

We are recruiting a Data Engineer to join our newly established Data, Analytics & AI group.

As part of our transformational journey on Data & AI in Operations, we are taking the steps to advance our Operation Data Hub (ODH) to Data Mesh architecture.  ODH exists to give all Operations units access to critical data and analytic tools at pace, accelerating their work on life saving medicines. The vision of ODH is also accelerating Operations’s data strategy of making our data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Re-useable (FAIR). This is being achieved through the creation of a distributed data architecture, management of our data and data products will sit at the heart of this.

As a Data Engineer,  you will be part of a engineering team accountable for harvesting, storing, quality checking, transforming, and visualising Operations data, build out reusable data products, which users from Operations units can self-service for analytics and AI/ML workflows. You will also be providing ongoing Business-as-Usual support to ensure these data products evolving overtime to meet Operations business objectives.

It is our goal to create scalable solutions to support the development of valuable data products and address broad range of data use cases from Operations, including batch analytics based on data warehousing, data mart and Big Data stack, and emerging use cases on real-time analytics based on streaming.

Our technology is focused around the AWS stack and modern data engineering stack, such as:  Snowflake, DBT, DataKitchen, AWS Kinesis. The EL tools are Qlik Replicate and the Visulaization is through Qlik Sense and Power BI.

The core of our development and support team are based in Chennai. You will also work closely with the Enterprise Data & AI teams to leverage central Enterprise Data Platforms for Data Cataloguing, Master Data Management and Reference Data Management.

You will need a collaborative delivery approach to be successful. We prefer to use Agile but choose the appropriate approach for the project. So, experience of a variety of delivery management methodologies would come in useful.

YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE

• 3 – 6 years experience in delivering software engineering or data engineering solutions
• Advanced SQL skills
• Experience with & knowledge in a broad base of data tools, ETL frameworks, monitoring and data technologies, for example our stack includes: AWS services, Snowflake, (good to have - DBT, DataKitchen, AWS Kinesis)
• Good to have an experience of visualisation technologies (we are focused on Power BI and Qlik Sense),
• Knowledge of data architectures, design including dimensional modelling
• Knowledge of cloud-based data management services: AWS, or equivalent
• Continuous integration and continuous development
• Experience of data analysis, such as: profiling, investigating, interpreting and documenting data structures

In addition, candidates will be expected to demonstrate:

• Good communication and facilitation skills
• Good written and verbal skills, fluent English.
