JOB SUMMARY:
This role involves supporting Franklin’s complex Enterprise Hyperion Planning and Essbase applications. The primary focal areas are production support activities, periodic solution enhancements and long-term projects.  The ideal candidate must be a good team player and detailed oriented, resourceful, motivated and creative. He/she should be flexible, organized and able to handle competing priorities, demonstrate sound, logic based decision making, and possess strong problem solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.  Proficiency in Hyperion Essbase, Planning, their respective tools (ie EAS, APS, ODI, FDQM, EPMA, LCM, etc.), Financial Reporting is required in addition to experience working with Oracle Databases 10g/11g, PL SQL, and Unix/Linux environments.

JOB DUTIES:

·       Perform application coding and programming through utilizing best practices and thorough knowledge of the system. 
·       Analyze requirements and propose high level solutions
·       Create low level design documents, artifacts for applications, modules
·       Perform unit testing, document test cases and results
·       Utilize version control software and configuration tools
·       Plan and coordinate implementation activities
·       Create and update technical documentation
·       Participate in source code reviews
·       Create effort estimates based on business requirements
·       Production job scheduling and monitoring
·       Document and maintain data flows, job flows, SLAs
·       Analyze application problems and defects
·       Perform capacity planning
·       Provide production support, including on-call support as required
·       Manage Infra tickets
·       Investigate, troubleshoot and correct data and user related system errors, and provides clarification
·      Continuously develop one’s own application / business domain knowledge and apply as appropriately in support of the application
·      Identify impact to an application due to a project / enhancement
Learn standard technology tools, programming languages and frameworks and apply as appropriately

  
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
·         1+ years of Experience
·         Proficient knowledge of technologies like Database (Oracle, SQL server), Programming languages (SQL, Shell)
·         Proficiency in Relational / Object Oriented database technologies
·         Proficiency in MS office tools
·         Some experience delivering projects using a standard Project Life Cycle Methodology (waterfall / Agile)
·         Experience using file transfer protocols
·         Knowledge of the operation systems: Windows (2003/2008 Server), Linux, UNIX

·         1 years experience as a Hyperion Essbase and Planning developer/administrator with good experience around relative tools and technologies. Some examples are EAS, ODI, FDQM, EPMA, LCM, ESSCMD, MaxL, relational databases and scripting expertise.
·         Automation and integration experience related to the entire Hyperion suite.
·         Some experience with Essbase Integration Services and ASO cubes
·         Knowledge of Excel, Essbase Spreadsheet Add-in and Smartview. Familiarity with the Essbase Visual Basic API's in Excel is also welcomed.
·         Experience developing reports using Hyperion Financial Reporting
·         Demonstrated Essbase experience on various OS platforms a plus.
·         A demonstrated understanding of Oracle relational database querying is critical.
·         Strong oral and written communication skills
·         Strong analytical and decision-making skills
·         Ability to work with multiple levels of business and IT management
