We are looking for smart, dynamic candidates to join us as trainees who will work in our India Global Technology Center (GTC) based in Mumbai. It will be a learning and growth opportunity for them to develop Oral Care (OC), Personal Care & Home Care products (PC/HC) to address the consumer needs/trends in Europe, Africa Eurasia & Indian subcontinent markets. All activity related to product development starting from raw material organizing/testing, batch making, stability analysis, inventory management, etc. to be performed as per standard protocol and practice. Along with new product development, every scientist in India GTC is expected to be an integral part of EOHS & Quality standards that ensure the safety & quality of our products and working environment. This team works on strong partnerships with cross categories within India GTC & other GTCs & plants. The tenure for a trainee is proposed to be 22 months from the date of joining.

What You Will Do:

1. Develop New Products in OC/PC/HC: As per brief and provide support in technology transfer to manufacturing plants. Making/screening prototypes/formulas, monitoring stability as per protocol, and analyzing products to establish stability/performance data.

2. New Vendor Qualification: For raw and packaging materials.

3. Raw Material Sourcing/Ordering/Inventory: For associated projects.

4. Understand the Manufacturing Facility Setup: Impart the requirements during product making.

5. Daily Verification and Calibration: Of basic OC/PC/HC equipment.

6. Conduct Basic Analysis: On various OC/PC/HC products (Rheology/Foam/Physiochemical parameters) and document the results as per internal documentation standards.

What You Will Learn:

1. Core Expertise: In new product development and technology transfer - both theoretical and experimental.

2. Functional Linkages: Overview of how different departments are integrated into overall R&D eg: Analytical, R&I, Microbiology, and implementation & support teams.

3. Operational Excellence: Build on technical expertise, expanding it in complementary directions. Use technical expertise and creativity to proactively identify potential problems and address them using appropriate resources in discussion with team leads. You will also learn to integrate yourself into a high-performing team focused on balancing both execution and innovation.

4. Coaching for Success: On technical and soft skills. Your progress will be evaluated periodically and you will receive scheduled training sessions for your continued success during your traineeship at Colgate.

5. Quality and Safety Principles: Exposure to specific training on Q&S, to assure your trust while working in a safe environment where quality is paramount.
