Job Role: Associate Software Engineer
Location: Hyderabad, India
Position: Full-time, Entry-level
Job Summary
As an Associate
Software Engineer, you will be involved in software development
across various products and services at Perceptive. You will participate in
program conception, building software solutions, and interacting with clients,
team members, and other employees. Your role will also involve data
modeling, programming, software design, and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
·
Data Modeling & Design: Apply data analysis, design, modeling, and
quality assurance techniques to establish, modify, or maintain data structures.
·
Programming & Development: Design, code, verify, test, document, amend,
and refactor moderately complex programs using agreed standards and tools.
·
Software Design: Assist in designing moderately complex
software applications or components, specifying user/system interfaces, and
creating multiple design views.
·
Collaboration & Reviews: Participate in code reviews, collaborate
with team members, and contribute to process improvements.
·
Relationship Management: Implement stakeholder
engagement/communications plans, manage resolutions, and enhance customer and
stakeholder relationships.
·
Database Design: Develop physical database or data warehouse
design elements, interpreting installation standards to meet project
requirements.
Skills & Competencies
To excel
in this role, you should have:
·
Programming Skills: Demonstrable experience in C# or
other programming languages, along with knowledge of the SDLC lifecycle.
·
Database Knowledge: Experience with SQL databases like
Oracle, PL/SQL, and SQL Server.
·
Technical Awareness: Basic understanding of code repositories
(e.g., SVN) and IDE tools (e.g., Visual Studio).
·
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication
skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
·
Problem-Solving Abilities: Critical thinking skills, with the ability
to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workloads efficiently.
·
Knowledge of EDC: Basic knowledge of Electronic Data
Capture (EDC) systems such as RAVE and bug tracking tools like JIRA.
·
Adaptability: Willingness to work in a matrix
environment, demonstrate flexibility, and learn new technologies.
Educational Qualifications
·
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Maths, Science,
Engineering, Computing, etc.) or a related field.
·
Fluency in English is required.
