| Job Description | Broadcom is developing solutions supporting the next generation of 3G and 4G high-speed mobile technologies with challenging requirements on Multimedia (Audio/Video) and Graphics for Android based Mobile platforms. In this role, you will be part of the core team co-owning the design, development, optimization and enhancement of the multimedia and graphics on the Android Mobile Platforms. Your primary role is the design, development, integration and optimization of the multimedia graphics solution on Android based platforms. You would also be owning the system optimization and debugging system level issues related to multimedia framework. This role involves: 1. Understanding the Multimedia IP block in detail including programming interfaces 2. Design/develop/test the linux drivers for the multimedia IP blocks 3. Understanding of multimedia framework 4. Integration, Optimization and stabilization of multimedia IP blocks into multimedia framework 5. Productization effort including debugging/optimizing/bug fixing of various complex concurrent scenarios typical to Mobile platforms (for Tier 1 customers) |
| Job Requirements | 1.Educational qualification: B.E./B. Tech. with specialization in E&C/CS/IT 2.Understanding of ARM architecture and OS fundamentals 3.Understanding of multimedia framework (Android knowledge would be desirable). 4.Good understanding of openGL and graphics accelerator integration 5.Hands-on knowledge of Linux drivers (preferably multimedia drivers) 6.Hands-on system debugging skills and hands-on use of system debugging tools. 7.Excellent hands-on expertise on development and debugging expertise in C and C++. 8.Need to be self-motivated, methodical, and detail oriented |
