The Red Hat Performance Engineering team is seeking an Intern to join us in Bengaluru, India. In this internship, you will measure performance characteristics of Red Hat Storage (Gluster), OpenStack, and the local Linux filesystems (Btrfs, XFS, etc.) and recommend changes to improve their performance. You'll also use existing benchmarks and write new benchmarks to characterize the performance of Red Hat products, collect the results, and share them with the team.

Primary job responsibilities

• Work with Red Hat Storage to test performance via various workloads and analyze results
• Produce and present meaningful content to influence engineering to improve performance in key areas for the product

Required skills

• Ability to take a disciplined approach toward performance testing
• Good analytical skills
• Familiarity with Linux and open source software
• Python and Shell scripting skills
