JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:-
To be assigned as Lead Mechanical Engineer/ Rotating or
Package Responsible Engineer for the project. Rotating equipment includes
Turbo-machineries, Process/Utilities pumps, Fire water pumps, compressors etc.
Review the project scope for mechanical section.
Assign works to the engineers according to their expertise.
Ensure the necessary resources and tools to carry out
engineering activities are available.
Ensure that engineering personnel have access to the
relevant national and international codes, standards, and specifications and
they are maintained to be current and up to date.
Ensure engineers are aware of the common requirements in
preparation of equipment specification/data sheets e.g CE marking, ATEX
marking, EquHub etc.
Ensure that all engineering designs/ documents prepared by
his engineers meet the project requirements, agreed HSE requirements and good
engineering practices.
Supervise and monitor to ensure the engineers complete their
works as per project schedule.
Preparation of Bud proposal for mechanical scope ie. Getting
competitive quotations and perform brief TBE for bid purposes.
Requirements:-
Degree in Mechanical
and should preferably have a minimum 5 years of experience in offshore or
onshore oil and gas projects on mechanical package equipment, rotating and
static equipment. Experience as Lead mechanical engineer will be as added
advantage.
Excellent knowledge
of International Codes and Standards for Mechanical equipment. Knowledge on
structural, electrical, instrumentation etc will be an added advantage.
Experience in
reviewing P & OD/ piping drawings etc, preparing equipment specifications and
data sheets, request for quotation (RFQ), perform technical bid evaluation
(TBE), review of vendor documentation (VDR) and attend equipment factory
acceptance test (FAT).
Capable to maintain
effective relationship with client, engineering activities meet project
requirements and schedules.
Knowledge in the use
of computer programs 3D model software like PDMS, Window office, Excel and
other applicable software for mechanical engineering.
Ability in quality
management, schedule and man-hour control of the technical engineers working
for the project
Proficient in
communication and writing in English.
