Brief Description:
Work with a world class team to implement, use, monitor,
and support cutting edge Oracle data warehouse technology.
Detailed Description:
Use the latest Oracle and third party technology to ensure
that high volume and time critical data warehouse loads execute
successfully. Troubleshoot functional and performance issues as they
arise. When necessary, seek help from DBAs, IT development, or Oracle
product development for resolution. Automate job scheduling, monitoring
and troubleshooting using the latest and most advanced tools.
Job Requirements:
BE degree in computer science, or another technical or engineering
field; experience with relevant technologies such as the Oracle RDBMS, OBIEE,
Informatica, and PL/SQL; good time management and communication skills, both
written and verbal. Working familiarity with high tech hardware or
software sales, marketing, orders, contracts, finance, or supply chain
management a plus. Knowledge in Oracle database, SQL and PL/SQL or data
warehouse a plus. With minimum of 1 to 1.5 years relevant experience.
Job Description
Responsible for the timely and successful running and
performance of data loads for one of the functionally broadest and most
heavily used OBIEE implementations in the world.
• Contribute as a
member of the worldwide data warehouse operations team
• Manage and support successful data loads into the warehouse • In addition to the data warehouse, manage a separate operational data store receiving near real time data feeds from Oracle’s internal eBusiness Suite deployment using Oracle Global Gate software • Coordinate new ETL code deployments and data fixes with the development team • Interface with Oracle Product Development to resolve database and OBIEE issues • Monitor and improve system performance and availability
Skills:
• Oracle DBA or
PL/SQL development experience with large data warehouses
• Oracle database, SQL, or PL/SQL performance tuning expertise in large enterprise deployments • Experience using OBIEE, DAC, Informatica Workflow Monitor, Oracle Concurrent Manager, Oracle Enterprise Manager
• Time management,
prioritization, sound judgement and quick decision making skills
• Strong technical
problem solving abilities
• Ability to navigate
and work productivity in a large corporate IT environment
• Collaboration with
colleagues located around the globe
• Outstanding
written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively and across distant timezones
• Availability to
serve occasional weekend days on rotation
