Data Analyst – Trainee
As an entry level data analyst, this person would be responsible for analysing the data given as part of the project engagement, work with a technical team to model the data and arrive at a solution to report on the underlying KPIs covering the data.
Essential Functions of the Job
- Work as a Trainee Developer to analyze the data and identify all the basic metrics that need to be reported
- Work with the Technical team to build a data model, and a reporting solution to report on the KPIs
- Get/self-learn technologies like database scripting, data modeling, normalization and reporting using third-party interfaces like Spotfire – to help the technical team in building the solution.
- Get involved in app testing as per the guidance of Tech Lead – this is to understand the nuances of app development
- Work on technical and project documentation as per the guidance of Tech Lead
- Adhere to design/development guidelines set by the Tech Lead – to deliver high-quality code
- Implement/Follow processes set up for SDLC.
Skills Requirements
- Should have a passion for technology and should be able to keep up-to-date on technology related things
- Focussed on quality in delivery
- Should be able to learn the basics of SQL scripting, data modeling, normalization and reporting/analytics fundamentals – in a very quick time
- Should be willing to take part in various roles as needed (Testing, Documentation)

- Good Communication skills for communicating with other team members & Managers
- Possess high standard of integrity and confidentiality
- Person with a “can-do” attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies, and a great team player would be an ideal candidate for this role
