| Job Description | QA Test Lead Location: Hyderabad Role: Quality Assurance QA JFM: QA Lead Tester ROLE OVERVIEW Quality Assurance Test Leads serve as the driver for the testing approach throughout a single projects development cycle. The QA Test Lead is responsible for measuring project quality and progress (People, Processes, and Products). The key activities are Issue Management, Planning, Organizing, Directing, Monitoring and Coaching. Developing strong communication with project managers, other project leads and external QA counterparts is required. Responsibilities: Should manage a team of testers and provides mentoring and counselling to assigned junior staff. Interfaces with the QA management team to obtain test directions, exchange information and provide reports. Interfaces occasionally with developers and external groups to review test directions and progress. Introduced to working with external partners. Oversees testing coverage for a specific platform or strictly defined subsection of a platform; may oversee multiple platforms if needed. Reviews test strategy based on test plans. Analysis bug database to ensure overall bug reporting progress is accurate and on track. Receives priorities from management, disseminates test directions to a large group of testers and test leads. Helps design the test criteria/documentation. Is able to assess and prioritize personal and team responsibilities. Creates testing matrices and presentations on project data using Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc. Advanced understanding of the game development process and superior proficiency in QA methodology, certification requirements and test design theory. Actively provides mentoring on an individual and group basis. Involve in training new team members and in mentoring veteran team members. Required: 1+years of previous lead / management experience in mobile/gaming. 3+ years of experience in software testing. Experience shipping titles and working on a live service Knowledge of iOS and Android testing and development. Excellent problem solving skills. Excellent communication skills; verbal and written. Emphasis on verbal communication. Clear understanding of software development cycle. Ability to stay organized, meet strict deadlines and exhibit great follow-through. A quick learner, able to adapt to rapid testing changes. Experience with Agile Testing methods and development strategy. Knowledge of a high capacity bug database (Jira). Passion for testing and a dedication to making great games. Strong MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) knowledge. Preferred: Expert knowledge of software, automation, and performance testing. Certification process knowledge Experience working with external testing sources. Experience with a global based company. Bachelors degree. |
