CPD VCentre Server Engineering: The Continuous Product Development (CPD) team is seeking Engineers (Member Technical Staff) for the Virtual Centre Server team. This team is responsible for software development, sustenance, enhancement and update releases on Windows and Linux platforms for the VCentre Server after it completes the GA (General Availability) release. The ideal candidate should have strong interests in state-of-the-art technologies as well as VMware applications with respect to achieving best customer experience as well as product development.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for sustenance, enhancement and update releases of VCentre Server Suite.
- Support vSphere platform product update release.
- Drive and influence enterprise-ready software release requirements for major product release.
- Cross-functional communication with SMEs, QA, program management and other stake holders.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to drive serviceability review for new releases
Requirements
- System software development in client-server environment is a must.
- Experience in developing system management software is a plus.
- Design, development knowledge in distributed applications and system management software.
Skills
- Good working knowledge of Java, C++ and OOP concepts in product based organizations.
- Very strong design and development experience in distributed and multi-threaded applications
- Strong coding, debugging and RCA experience.
- Keenness to address Customer issues and contribute to product stability
- Storage and Security technologies knowledge / background will be a plus.
- Proven ability in delivering under high pressure and against strict timelines.
- Exposure to web technologies, product life cycle and customer interactions.
- Very good interpersonal and communication skills
- Self motivated, multitasking with a positive attitude.
Experience / Qualification
- 0-2 Years of industry experience in related technologies
- B.E / B.Tech / M.E/ M.Tech from a recognized university with good academic record
