has been in existence for more than 6 years. The state-of-the-art facility
located on OMR, Sholinganallur, Chennai is responsible for building several
vital products that enable PayPal's various online and offline businesses.

Team: The Chennai based “Emerging Initiatives
Group” focusses on promoting Open Innovation with primary focus on the
"Payments" arena. The team is responsible for evaluating the most
intriguing and emerging technologies, envision future applications for these
technologies that are relevant from the payments context and eventually help accelerating
the adoption of these technologies and applications to deliver unique value to
PayPal's customers. The team applies rapid prototyping and engages in a
constant feedback loop with stakeholders to accelerate the idea lifecycle. The
team also promotes Open Innovation and aims to catalyze the innovation life
cycle and constantly identify unique ideas that can be converted into viable
Intellectual property for the company.
