Role Summary/Purpose
|
The role holder will be responsible for development of GE
M&C condition monitoring software solutions.
|
|
Essential Responsibilities
|
• Experience working with .Net,
• Strong problem solving abilities • Understand and clarify product requirements you own for development • Communicate as necessary to ensure conformance to UX product vision for requirements you own for development • Own lower level design, articulate and document software designs with minimal guidance • Develop code and tests with minimal guidance to meet the functional and non-functional requirements following applicable standards and processes • Run tests to ensure complete conformance to requirements • Reproduction and resolution of defects with minimal guidance • Innovate into products and processes • Grow personal knowledge of product domain to increase independent decision making when developing products • Continue to grow expertise in software development skills • Drive for productivity in product development |

Qualifications/Requirements
|
· Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry,
Mathematics, or Computer Science (or a high school diploma / GED with at
least 4 years of experience in an engineering, IT, scientific or other
technical position)
• At least 2 years of experience in software development |
|
Desired Characteristics
|
• WPF and WCF experience desired, C++, HTML5, Java, or
other scripting languages and database technologies
• Experience in software design and development • Knowledge of software design patterns and principles • Experience working with Agile software development methodologies (Scrum, XP) • Able to work under minimal supervision • High energy, results driven person with strong interpersonal skills • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with engineering managers with confidence and clarity • Able to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility |
