Position description:
To ensure development of parts
as per milestones by meeting the QCDD targets and managing of supplier QCDD for
achieving business targets
Primary Responsibilities:
- Development of prototypes/semi-tooled up/tooled
up parts as per milestones (CBU/CKD/Country variants as applicable)
- SRS and DVP finalisation and sign off with
supplier along with R&D/QAD
- Complete benchmarking study & prepare cost
estimate for BO parts & sub-systems
- Monitor & amend prices for forex /
commodity fluctuations as per guideline issued by commercials team
- Ensure validity of regulatory requirements
(IMDS/Country specific homologation requirements /COO/QS / EMS / OHSAS/PCB
for suppliers)
- Prepare manufacturing feasibility, Tooling
& development plan with suppliers
- Obtain PPAP, audit, sign off PSW & effect
file transfer for all BO parts
- Initiate, establish & monitor capacity
requirement of machine & tooling for BO parts
- Ensure delivery of parts for CBU / CKD / Spares
/ Country variants and monitor supplier performance
- Monitor & sustain quality performance -
Rejections/ Poka yoke / rejection reduction parts through implementation
& adherence of process improvements
- Identify and implement process improvements to
reduce / sustain aesthetics (QZS) as per contractual requirement (as
applicable)
- Sustain SPS score of suppliers>7.5 through
implementation & monitoring of identified improvements
- Prepare analysis, root cause identification,
solution development & implementation from Stage 30 to 90 in PQM
Methodology
- Monitor tool life through supply quantity &
additional indicators such as appearance issues, porosity rejections,
supplier rejection levels & initiate tool replacement activities
- Generate, prepare, negotiate cost reduction
proposal with BMW/R&D & ensure implementation as per plan
- Prepare process, timeline & cost analysis
for Gams/ CR with R&D / BMW /QAD/ Supplier& implement based on
agreed timeline
- Monitor & identify changes in process/
parts (6-M) signed off with QAD/ BMW
- Ensure duty payments, validate commercial
documents, track & prepare payments for import suppliers based on term
- Establish norms & maintain optimal
inventory level for import parts
- Monitor , address , initiate actions for
addressing import supplier quality issues / Negotiate & finalize scrap
value & ensure payment correction
- Prepare & sign off packing norms for all
supplier parts for CBU / CKD/ Spares
