Duration: 3 months theoretical training followed by 6 months on-the-job practical training

Training Program Overview:

COWI is offering a 3+6 months training program as a BIM Trainee, focusing on Structural and MEP Services using Engineering design software tools. The training program will cover theoretical and practical aspects of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and will be conducted in Chennai.

Topics Covered in Training:

BIM software packages and tools including Autodesk Revit 2021, Autodesk Navisworks 2020, Solibri, BIM360, Glasshouse, AutoCAD
Dynamo and other plug-ins
Danish and Norwegian design standards and guidelines
International design standards like Eurocode, BS, etc.
Quantity take-off and clash detection reports
Quality Management of models and drawings

Duration of Training:

Phase 1: Theoretical Training Sessions (3 Months) - Internship covering theoretical concepts of BIM. Stipend provided.
Phase 2: Practical On-The-Job Training (6 Months) - Working on ongoing design projects with experienced engineers and BIM modellers.

Professional Qualifications Needed:

B.E/B.Tech in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Architecture Engineering
