Position Overview

Job Title: Analytics Analyst

Role Description

The Analytics Analyst will be part of the Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) team. The AFC is responsible for preventing money laundering, combating terrorist financing, monitoring financial and commercial sanctions, and countering other criminal activities. The Anti-Financial Crime Modelling (AFCM) team manages global money laundering prevention models, ensuring the bank can detect potential money laundering activities effectively. The Tuning & Optimization (T&O) function verifies and optimizes these transaction monitoring models. As an Analytics Analyst, your role will be to support the review and optimization of these models.

Your Key Responsibilities

Implement, optimize, and improve existing transaction monitoring models according to AFCM T&O processes.
Ensure the quality, completeness, and integrity of T&O activities and their full documentation.
Conduct data analysis as part of the Ongoing Performance Monitoring of the transaction monitoring models.
Build and maintain partnerships with local and central AFC teams. Proactively engage with risk and audit partners to ensure continuous review and transparency of measures.
Provide ad hoc analysis as part of the T&O and support the work of the team head/lead.

Your Skills and Experience

Degree in (business) mathematics, (business) computer science, data science, information management, statistics, economics, or comparable fields.
Several years of professional experience in analytical roles, creating analyses and visualizations of large and complex data sets to gain business insights.
Experience in analytics & data mining using SQL (mandatory) and Python (preferred).
Relevant experience in AML (Anti-Money Laundering) is ideal, along with experience in transaction monitoring systems such as Mantas, Smaragd, or Actimize (preferred but not required).
Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written, with a confident appearance showing very high integrity, loyalty, and reliability.
