💼 Role: Software Engineer – Backend (Remote, Mumbai)
As a Backend Engineer, you will design, build, and scale high-performance,
distributed systems powering the world’s most advanced testing platform.
Location: Mumbai (Remote-first, relocation required if
outside Mumbai)
Experience: 6 months – 2 years
🛠 Responsibilities
·
Write high-quality,
production-grade code with code reviews and documentation.
·
Lead team
discussions, stand-ups, and architecture reviews.
·
Identify
areas for framework, tool, and process improvements.
·
Design
schemas and write efficient SQL queries.
·
Develop
scalable, high-volume, 24x7 applications with synchronous & asynchronous
patterns.
·
Research and
implement new technologies tailored for BrowserStack.
·
Debug and
solve problems across multiple OS platforms (Windows, Linux).
·
Contribute
to and integrate open-source projects.
·
Own and be
accountable for delivering features end-to-end.
🎓 Skills & Experience
·
Proficiency
in one scripting language: Ruby, Node.js, Python, AppleScript, Unix Shell.
·
Familiarity
with one compiled language: C, Java, or Go.
·
Solid
knowledge of operating systems, networking concepts, file systems, and APIs.
·
Hands-on
experience in Windows/Linux environments.
·
Strong problem
diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
·
Ability to
design scalable, distributed systems.
·
Startup
mindset – willingness to learn, adapt, and deliver at speed.
