💼 Role: Data Engineer – Big Data & Analytics
As a Data Engineer at Standard Chartered, you will work on Big
Data technologies, regulatory compliance systems, and enterprise data pipelines.
You will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver
scalable data solutions while ensuring compliance with the Bank’s conduct
principles.
Location: India (Hybrid Model)
Education: Diploma / Degree
Experience Level: Relevant experience in Big Data, SQL, and analytics
🛠 Key Responsibilities
·
Build and
maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Hadoop and related tools.
·
Handle raw
and unstructured data effectively.
·
Develop
solutions using Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and SQL.
·
Apply programming
and debugging skills to resolve data issues.
·
Work with Azure
DevOps for versioning, branching, and automation.
·
Familiarity
with job orchestration tools like Control M.
·
Ensure
adherence to coding standards and SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
·
Collaborate
with FCSO development teams and business stakeholders.
·
Maintain
high standards of regulatory and business conduct, aligned with SCB’s values.
🎓 Skills & Experience
Must Have:
·
Proficiency
in Hadoop, Hive, Spark, SQL, Bash scripting
·
Knowledge of
Agile & Waterfall models, coding standards, version control
·
Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills
·
Good verbal
and written communication
Good to Have:
·
Exposure to Tableau,
Dataiku, MSTR or other reporting tools
·
Experience
with Enterprise Data Warehousing and Reference Data Management
·
Familiarity
with Control M and Azure DevOps
·
Understanding
of ETL/ELT pipelines in Hadoop
