Software Engineer-608416   Description  JOB TITLE : Software Engineer (ARCS Application Development and Support) SUMMARY of JOB RESPONSIBILTIES: Participate on a 25-30 person team responsible for the development/support of NCR's application environments used globally to support over 29,000 employees in over 60 Countries. Interact with other developers and users to promote information sharing, coordinate enterprise information architecture, validate user requirements, and provide software deliverables using a CMM-based engineering process to ensure the security, quality, performance, and accessibility of the HR solution. Functional Responsibilities and Skills Required: • Ability to understand business process and requirements and seek the best alternative for applying them within the Application and Extension framework • Must have a good understanding of the software development process • Provide responsive and effective root cause resolutions and workarounds to support issues. • Perform technical analysis and troubleshooting on complex application problems. • Strong documentation skills • Ability to work in diversified teams • Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language • 24X7 availability for on-call support Technical Skills Required: • Minimum of 1 year experience in Power Builder (a must), UNIX and Oracle/PL-SQL • Knowledge of Java is good to have though not mandatory.
