Reporting
to the Test Engineering Team Leader, the GET-Test Equipment Design
will participate on a multidisciplinary team whose responsibilities include the design and development of systems to test aerospace and defense products. The Test Engineer will be part of a team whose responsibilities include: performing system architecture trade studies, design, and development of high performance test systems for acceptance testing of various types of products. This role will be focused on the design and documentation of LabVIEW based automated test equipment for aerospace products and systems. The Test Engineer will be part of the development team responsible for ensuring that the test equipment design meets all of the product testing and test coverage requirements. Responsibilities for the Test Engineer may include some or all of the following: • Design and Development of electrical, mechanical, and software components to test end items. • Support on the Development of electrical, mechanical, and software specifications to test end items. • Support the Business Development or Engineering organizations in new business pursuits, including, preparation of RFQ responses, responsibility for preparation of technical proposals and support for supplier queries • Support failure investigation in developing cause and corrective action for manufacturing and customer top-level systems integration and test failures • Developing Test Methods and creating test fixtures • Communicate technical issues through written, verbal and presentation media In performing these activities the Test Engineer will interface with External Suppliers, Program Managers, Engineering Managers, Mechanical, Software, Electrical, and Systems Engineers, as well as the Manufacturing organization.Basic Qualifications:• Bachelors in Electronics and Instrumentation / Electronics and Communication/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering with First Class • Strong Electronics fundamentals, Knowledge in Linear Integrated Circuit, Control Systems, Digital Signals, Simulation and Measurements • Experienced with Virtual Instrumentation and Microcontroller Laboratories • Trained/Knowledge about any one modern high level programming language preferably on National Instruments LabVIEW programming or C • Good Analytical and problem solving skills • A proactive style, high energy level, and positive outlook • Good communication skills (verbal and written) and team oriented
