Job Description


• Mechanical packaging design for Electromechanical products such as Respirators, Voltage meters and other Personal Protection Equipment

• Create concept modeling in Solid works / Pro/E and detailed drawing.

• Responsible for other technical deliverables of the project (Preliminary mechanical calculations: structural/ Thermal)

• Modification of existing drawings

• Implementing the ECRO, Redline Markups and implementing it with all the necessary approvals.

• Co-ordination & Follow-up with, Functional Excellence Teams, Manufacturing and Team Lead for day to day project activities.

• Responsible and Accountable for Quality Drawings

• Simulation of the concept using tools like Ansys/ CFD 


Qualifications
 Essential Technical Skills / Knowledge :

• Have an understanding of NPI / Product Development Life Cycle and Product Design skills with Problem solving and analytical capability
• Mechanical Packaging (Package different parts and sub-assly to form a product meeting functional & customer requirements) skills for electronic products
• Knowledge on design of mechanical elements such as flow control valves, ratchet mechanisms, springs etc
• Exposure to any analysis tools such as Ansys, CFD is an added advantage
• Experience on GD & T, Tolerance Analysis, DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly). Good Knowledge in Drafting Standards especially ASME 14.5M, DIN, BSS, etc
• Have understanding on Different Manufacturing Processes like Plastic Injection Molding, Metal Parts Machining, Casting, sheet metal process, Joining methods (crimpling, welding, brazing, soldering) and basic tool design exposure is essential
• Good knowledge on Material selection (Engineering Plastics, Rubber & Metals) and mechanical hardware selection such as Screws, gaskets, O rings and other sealing elements
• Expertise in 3D Modeling and Parametric Detailing, Family Tables.
• Expertise in Pro/E 2001, Solid works & AutoCAD.
• Exposure to Six Sigma methodology / statistical methods.
• Expertise in QFD, DFMEA, PFMEA etc
• Must have experience in Engineering change Request and Engineering change order implementation & Oracle / MRP tool

• Work experience in Pneumatic valve designs and high pressure control systems is preferable
