RuPay ON-THE-GO Designathon 2022: Stages and Timelines

Form Factor & Design Submission

Registered participants as a step one must select a form factor. Example: Ring, Keychain or any new form which the participant finds suitable for the objective and as step two create a path-breaking design for that form factor. They will have to submit a PPT elaborating on why a particular form factor is appropriate for a payment instrument, how it will be convenient for the customer and the underlying inspiration behind the design created by the participant for that form factor.

Final Presentation

All that you need to know about RuPay ON-THE-GO Designathon 2022

RuPay is excited to announce its first RuPay ON-THE-GO Designathon. A challenge that will stimulate the participants to put their creativity to work. Put on your thinking caps, hit the drawing board and pave the way India pays ON-THE-GO with RuPay.

Challenge Rules/Guidelines:

• Interested participants must register individually.
• The file should be in PPT format not exceeding a file size of 10 MB. In case of multiple files, you can submit a zip file compressing all the files in one or submit PDF.
• Naming Convention: (Full Name)_RuPay_OTG
• Participants can submit only 1 design of any 1 form factor.
• Participants may use software, pen, pencil, colors, paint, etc. to create the design.
• All uploaded designs will be evaluated by the RuPay ON-THE-GO Jury and the shortlist shall be decided based on their decision.
• The jury’s decision will be the final decision.
• Winners & special mentions will be announced on RuPay & NPCI LinkedIn and Twitter platforms.
• Winners will be contacted separately for prize distribution (within 1 month of announcement).

Eligibility Criteria: RuPay ON-THE-GO Designathon 2022 is open for college students across all campuses all over India

Competition Structure:

• Form Factor & Design Submission:

• Registered participants as a step one must select a form factor. Example: Ring, Keychain or any new form which the participant finds suitable for the objective and as step two create a path-breaking design for that form factor.
• Registered participants will have to submit a PPT.
• The submission must clearly elaborate on why a particular form factor is appropriate for a payment instrument, how it will be convenient for the customer and the underlying inspiration behind the design created by the participant for that form factor.
• The last day to submit entries is 10th October 2022 at 12:00 PM IST.

• Final Presentation Round:

• Top 10 shortlisted participants will be working further on their proposed design through inputs and technical guidance from RuPay representatives and further build upon their presentation and design.
• Presentation will be required to be submitted by 27th October 2022 before 12:00 PM.
• The participant must then present the Form Factor and Design to the final evaluation jury.
• The presentation can be supported by a demonstration of your Prototype that showcases the form factor and design and how it caters to the RuPay ON-THE-GO Proposition.
• Participants will be assessed by a panel of industry experts on the parameters of creativity, customer convenience, usability, and scalability of the concept.

Rewards and Prizes:

• National Winner: Apple iPad Pro, Apple Pencil and a chance to collaborate with RuPay
