🧾 Job Overview
Position: Software Engineer
Team: R&D – Device Engineering
Location: India (100% Remote)
Job Type: Full-Time
Industry: Cybersecurity / Network Security
🔍 Key Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer at FireMon, your core responsibilities
will include:
·
Designing and developing
device integrations for industry-leading security appliances
·
Implementing support for
emerging technologies in the network security space
·
Working closely with product
management and sales engineering to gather and prioritize device requirements
·
Analyzing CLI, admin, and
user documentation to reverse engineer device behavior
·
Contributing to
troubleshooting efforts and resolving real-time customer issues
·
Converting device logic
into a usable structure within FireMon’s platform
🧠 Required Skills & Experience
To qualify, candidates should have:
·
Bachelor’s degree in Computer
Science, IT, or a related technical field
·
2–5 years of experience in
Java development, including object-oriented design and performance optimization
·
Strong BASH or Python
scripting skills
·
Experience with Linux
environments and command-line tools
·
Familiarity with:
o Maven, JUnit, SQL
o RESTful APIs, logback/log4j, XML/XSLT
·
Understanding of networking
technologies (Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point, Juniper, etc.)
·
Regular expression (Regex)
proficiency
·
Strong debugging,
analytical, and problem-solving skills
·
Ability to work
independently in a fast-paced, agile environment
🌟 Preferred Skills
·
Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum
environments
·
Exposure to XSD/XML design
·
Network/security
certifications like CCNA or CCIE are a plus
·
Prior work with firewall
configuration and policy integration is highly preferred
