Position Summary
 
Looking for a full-time software development consultant - QA Engineer to work on major client websites testing javascript, CSS, HTML and DOM manipulation to aid in Website optimization and web analytics using Omniture's suite of optimization tools.  This is a Quality Assurance position.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Actively testing optimization test setups within IE6, IE7, IE8, Safari, FireFox and Chrome.
Must communicate well with the development team and be able to 
Able to bridge the gap between IT group and Business groups.  Can talk technology as well as business requirements.
 
Required Skills:
 
Self starter - Organized and highly motivated
Broad understanding of Browser compatibility issues
Fast learner, ability to learn new technologies/platforms
Knowledge of Javascript, Ajax, CSS/HTML, Web services, APIs, are a plus
Familiar with current W3C recommendations and their availability in common browsers
Familiar with dynamic web development, personalization, web analytics, website optimization is a plus
Experience with XML and DOM related technologies is a plus
Project Management skills a must - Great communicator, able to be on client calls with IT group or Business/Marketing group
High Attention to detail.
Positive and Professional demeanor.
 
Education:  
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
Excellent English Skills; other languages are a plus.
 
Special consideration given for:
  • Previous experience working with Adobe Test & Target or similar tools
  • Deep vertical industry experience (e.g., Retail, media, financial services, high tech, etc.)
